Some highlights of my day

I knew instantly that my Sid had been up to something when he came up to me, smiled sweetly and promised me he would not throw anything out of the window from then on (turns out his toast and marmite were on the ledge and his brother’s sunglasses were nowhere to be seen).

He also sat in my lap poked at my chin and asked me why i wasn’t wearing my beard. This was after he saw a friend of mine who had dropped in for tea yesterday. My friend sports a beard and Sid had never seen one up close before. He has fake moustaches that he wears at home when he plays so he simply assumed that my friend’s beard was a similar pretend play prop!

Nish was holding his bum and running around…i asked him what the matter was and he said he could not find his underwear and did not want to feel naked!

My 7 month old has started teething and one tooth is well out of his gum…he bit on his toe out of habit and it must have hurt…because he first looked confused and then really upset. he bawled and bawled…poor baby.

Sid helped himself to some gummi worms from the fridge. I asked him why he did that..he looked at me with a poker face and said “nobody likes me…am going to eat some worms”

Nish asked me to put the toothpaste back in to the tube…please please

There were a whole bunch of other moments which i have now forgotten..some of these conversations are priceless.

About myfourboysandme

Mom - a word that defines me... I smell of oats, johnson's and home baked cookies I am pink, purple, green and orange and so is the floor my kids color on. Flour on my clothes and a brush in my pocket, my glasses bent out of shape and smudged with tiny fingerprints. I can't remember the date but i know almost 40 pictures books by heart. I wake up humming 'wheels on the bus'and i talk with my fingers and eyes and mouth. My bag carries band aids, napkins, wipes, crayons, papers, candy and sometimes my wallet. I know all the parks and very few of the restaurants in my neighborhood. Most of my shopping is diapers, books and paints My phd certificate lies in a roll, the frame now contains an abstract work of art by two year olds and i am prouder of that piece of paper. mom - a word that defines me!
