I came across an interesting blog the other day. Found a recipe for beet chips on it. Beets are a great source of nutrition…they have a host of vitamins and minerals and are generally very good for you. So when i came across this recipe, i could not wait to try it out for the boys. they like chips and so i figured this would be a great way to get some healthy stuff in. and, the chips are bakes not deep fried..so this makes a lovely snack for the more health conscious too!
the chips are very easy to make…slie the beets thin, drizzle some olive oil and sea salt and then bake till crisp (takes about 45 minutes). i did not want to use the oven for that long just for the chips so i toasted a bunch of nuts simultaneously.
