Elbow on my bag!

Standard

This afternoon as the twins were eating lunch, Sid touched my elbow and asked “what is this?” Strange question i thought to myself…”elbow” i replied. “Yes! Elbow!!!!” he replied enthusiastically. “I also have elbow” he added. Looking at my puzzled fae, he was kind enough to elaborate..”on my bag!”. OK i said…although i felt the conversation was not leading anywhere. i basically wanted to get lunch done with and did not want to disagree with Sid at this point. He probably realized i was just giong along with what he was saying and really following what he was trying to tell me. So he jumped off the chair and went and got his backpack. Pointing at the picture on it he said “See, Elbow!” I tried to keep a straight face as i looked at the bright happy face of Elmo on the bag. Yes you do! i said…but that is Elmo not elbow. “Yes” he replied. “See i also have elbow!”. Guess he is going to call it elbow for a while.

Since they have no TV at all, i guess I can’t really blame him! He probably had someone tell him the name of the character on his bag at school and he wanted to share that with me!

About myfourboysandme

Mom - a word that defines me... I smell of oats, johnson's and home baked cookies I am pink, purple, green and orange and so is the floor my kids color on. Flour on my clothes and a brush in my pocket, my glasses bent out of shape and smudged with tiny fingerprints. I can't remember the date but i know almost 40 pictures books by heart. I wake up humming 'wheels on the bus'and i talk with my fingers and eyes and mouth. My bag carries band aids, napkins, wipes, crayons, papers, candy and sometimes my wallet. I know all the parks and very few of the restaurants in my neighborhood. Most of my shopping is diapers, books and paints My phd certificate lies in a roll, the frame now contains an abstract work of art by two year olds and i am prouder of that piece of paper. mom - a word that defines me!
