things are not always what they may seem to be

Standard

This afternoon the twins came home with cardboard cartons and toilet paper tubes and a couple of plastic water bottles on which they had pasted stuff. They had stuck colored cellophane paper and bits of foam on the pieces. Amu was delighted to see his brothers and even more excited with the random stuff that they had brought home. He went straight for the bottle of mineral water with green and blue foam bit stuck on top with Sid’s name written in marker. He cooed and gurgled and squealed in delight as the bottle was explored and eventually directed straight to his mouth. “NO!” said Sid and grabbed the bottle from his hand. “That’s not very nice” i was about to blurt as baby Amu broke into a loud complaining wail. Sid quickly pulled the foam bits off the bottle and then handed it back to his baby brother “Danger” he said “no eat this”. I had completely misunderstood what he was doing and had been about to yell at him when all he wanted to do was make sure his baby brother did not accidentally swallow bits of foam!

I know all the parks and very few of the restaurants in my neighborhood.
