Today we tried a random fun activity with the twins…First i took one-sided paper and drew an outline of a person on it (almost like a gingerbread man type of outline…just longer). Then, we flipped through old magazines and found pics of shirts, shorts, trousers, skirts, hats, funny hairstyles and i cut these up for the boys. we simply placed the paper with the outline on the floor and the kids had a fun time dressing up the outline…it was so simple yet s much fun and preparing for it was as exciting too because the boys got to flip through the magazines and find clothes that they felt were interesting! This will probably not work with very small kids (mine are now 2.9 yrs old) because of the fine motor skills involved. You can try this with older kids and have them do the cutting too. And mine was just a rudimentary drawing…feel free to make it as cool and interesting as you like! kinda like the dress up paper dolls we had as kids.
